Product Modules

WisdomX Orbis is structured around focused modules, each addressing a distinct part of the legacy system problem. All modules share the same underlying data, so intelligence built in one flows automatically into the others.

Orbis Decommission

The foundation module. This is where every organisation starts.

Orbis Decommission ingests your IT estate, identifies every legacy, redundant, obsolete, and idle system, and surfaces a ranked list of decommissioning candidates, with the financial case, risk profile, and recommendation your team needs to act.

What it shows you:

  • Total legacy systems identified with weekly discovery trend
  • Potential annual savings broken down by infrastructure, licensing, and support cost
  • High-risk system count by compliance, security, and operational category
  • Lifecycle progress across your entire estate: Active, Redundant, Obsolete, Decommissioned
  • System dependency map for any candidate before approval
  • Decommissions data insights table: status, cost, risk, recommendation, and decision action

The decision flow: Your team reviews each candidate in the Data Insights table. When ready, they approve the decommission via the decision button. This triggers the Snapshot archiving process, capturing everything before the system is closed.

Who uses it: IT Directors, Enterprise Architects, and Programme Managers leading legacy estate reduction programmes.

tip

Organisations using Orbis Decommission have identified millions in potential annual savings within weeks of connecting their first data source.

Orbis Intel — Threat Intelligence

Built on the Metis intelligence engine, Orbis Intel extends the platform's analysis from cost and lifecycle risk to active security risk.

Where Decommission tells you what to close, Intel tells you what is currently exposed while it is still running.

What it does:

  • Maps your legacy estate against known threat patterns
  • Identifies systems with active security vulnerabilities
  • Shows the blast radius: the other systems an attacker could reach from each entry point
  • Surfaces remediation priorities ranked by impact
  • Tracks remediation progress from identification through to closure

Who uses it: Chief Information Security Officers, Security Architects, and IT Risk teams.

note

Legacy systems are the most common entry point for enterprise breaches. A system you are planning to decommission but have not yet closed is still a live attack surface. Orbis Intel tells you which ones represent the highest active risk right now.

Orbis AI SOC

Powered by the Talos engine, Orbis AI SOC brings automated triage and case management to your security operations function.

What it does:

  • Automatically triages incoming security alerts using context from Orbis Intel
  • Creates structured cases with priority and recommended response
  • Runs automated playbooks for known threat patterns
  • Provides a full audit trail for every case
  • Delivers SOC performance dashboards

Who uses it: Security Operations teams and MSSP partners who need to demonstrate operational capability to auditors and boards.

note

For MSSPs Orbis AI SOC is available as a managed service capability. Contact us to discuss partnership arrangements.

Snapshot — Derisking Partner

Before any system is decommissioned, the risk of losing something important is real. Snapshot eliminates that risk.

Snapshot is WisdomX's exclusive derisking partner. When your team approves a decommission in Orbis, Snapshot captures a complete archive of the system before anything is closed:

  • Context — operational documentation, runbooks, institutional knowledge associated with the system
  • Code — full source code snapshot at the point of decommission
  • Data — all data held in the system, structured for cold storage
  • Documents — all documents, records, and files associated with the system

Everything is stored in cold storage, accessible if you ever need to retrieve it, but not consuming active compute or storage costs.

The integration works via open API. When a customer approves a decommission in Orbis, the Snapshot process is initiated.

note

Snapshot is an exclusive WisdomX partner capability. It is the only platform of its type that captures the full context of a system, not just the data, before decommissioning.
